Boston, MA: Old South Church in the Back Bay (OldSouth.org)
I’ve travelled a lot and can lay down my hat anywhere, and certainly, I have strong ties to and love for Germany, but Boston is my home. It’s where I grew up. I love this city and I feel like I fit in here. That feeling of fitting in… I haven’t found that anywhere else. So, this week, I am spending time in Boston for the first time since I moved overseas in 2009.
First stop, a little church called the Old South Church. It’s iconic and beautiful with its Ruskinian Italian Gothic style. It’s the 3rd ever church in Boston, with members such as Sam Adams and Benjamin Franklin.
I spent a little time sitting and reflecting inside. It was very peaceful and felt welcoming.
