Antarctica: Introduction

Can you believe that Antarctica wasn’t discovered until January 1820? After sailing there myself, yes, I can believe it. It is the most inhospitable, raw, but majestic place I’ve ever been.

It goes by many names: the Last Continent, the 7th Continent, the White Continent and the South Pole.

It is by no means easy, any which way you go, and with any amount of funds, to get there. The trip is difficult, long, but completely worth it. There must reside in anyone who undertakes this journey, a little adventurer who longs to see what very few people have seen in person. In the following ten posts, I will recount my unique experience sailing to the great White Continent.
