Ruka Restobar. Nikkei.

Boston, MA: Ruka Restobar. Nikkei. (http://rukarestobar.com/)

Japanese Peruvian fusion.

If that doesn’t catch you, I don’t know.  This restaurant has beautiful décor and artwork all over.  The food is unimaginably delicious. We ordered Crispy Rock Shrimp which was sushi rolls topped with fried shrimp, not your ordinary Veggie Fried Rice, and a crab sushi (I no longer know the name of) where the crab and veggies were lying on a flatbed of rice.

The wait staff was friendly and very attentive without being overly attentive, aka, they give you space to talk and relax.

I highly recommend this place for a quiet evening where you can enjoy spectacular food.

  1. I was browsing the net and came across a photo of the 8ft x 6ft Inca SunGod I created for the space behind the Ruka bar. Thank you for choosing my art to represent your review. I live on the west coast, and haven’t made it to Boston to see it installed in person. Still it’s great to see that others are enjoying it.
